“Back to the Garage” with our mobile trade show kit
We developed a mobile trade show kit for Daimler’s innovation laboratory – Lab1886 –
which the client can assemble in under two hours.
Lab1886 – Trade show kit
The innovation specialists at Lab1886 were on the hunt for a customized solution for use at recruitment fairs, as well as at external and in-house events. In keeping with the slogan “Back to the Garage” it had to be dynamic and authentic, while still taking values into account. Most importantly, it had to be flexible and able to be assembled by the lab team themselves. Any other requirements? Not many!
“It’s just so cool that our pitch concept was
so fully realized. At the end, the booth looked
almost exactly as we’d envisaged it.”
The customer deliberately set us the challenge of developing our own creative interpretation on the basis of just a short briefing. We started on the concept with the aim of translating Lab1886’s values and philosophy into a spatial and digital world. In addition to using materials from the actual production floor, several technical refinements underscore the innovative character. Lots of steel and aluminum lend a touch of industrial chic. Our design was right on target!
“The first-aid kit was put to use even before the first assembly!”
Even before our mobile trade fair kit could be assembled for the first time, one of our colleagues injured himself while opening a toolbox. The team had hardly been on site for three minutes, and our first job was to get the first-aid kit! Luckily it wasn’t a serious injury and then everything went according to plan. Apart from the trade fair kit, we made a making-of film and a social media teaser in-house. It was exactly the kind of project we like, involving a broad-based Wecause team.
