Courtyard by Marriott box at the Allianz Arena Munich
We planned and built the Skybox in the Allianz Arena that is both a soccer box and a hotel room for COURTYARD by Marriott.
In the Arena: VIP Skybox
As a hotel, Courtyard by Marriott is mainly geared to the needs of business travelers and it’s a hotel brand owned by the Marriott International Group. They asked us to convert an existing box at the Allianz Arena Munich into a Skybox with a modern courtyard look. The challenge: apart from a fit-out for soccer events and client dining, we also had to create sleeping space.

As Bayern Munich’s new Premium Partner, Courtyard organized a prize draw for an overnight stay in the Skybox. Our job was to fit out a 50 sqm home-game box as an exclusive hotel room with living room and bar. The trick we used: a central room divider which works both as a standing table in the lounge, and as the headboard of a double bed in the sleeping area. We had a project timeline of just ten weeks to make every single element perfect – and thanks to our untiring team, we did it – 5-star work!

Our teamwork is defined by good communication and mutual support. In this instance we were also given an extra boost of motivation every fifteen minutes: at the Allianz Arena, there are guided tours from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. – when the tour guides delight in practicing goal cheering and shouts of encouragement from the grandstands with their visitor groups. We took the liberty of accepting some of those cheers for ourselves and our work. Thank you, Allianz Arena.
