Stars & Cars
At the end of the year, Mercedes-Benz invited its fans, partners and customers to its traditional “Stars & Cars” event to mark the close of the season at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart.
Mercedes truly swept the boards during the 2015 motor sport season. The brand with the star snapped up a total of 19 titles in the Formula 1, DTM, the GP3 feeder series and its customer sport programs. So there were plenty of reasons to celebrate. The car giant traditionally winds down its annual motor sport activities by inviting its fans to the “Stars & Cars” event. Following the most successful season in Mercedes motor sport history, we wanted to go one better with our partners and the Mercedes-Benz motor sport team.
The idea: head-to-head racing against a record backdrop.
Three months of planning and seven production days later, we transformed the VFB Stuttgart soccer team’s “living room” into a temporary racing track – a somewhat unusual challenge that we still remember fondly. Apart from the champions’ duels from Formula 1, DTM, AMG Customer Sports and Formula 3, and other brand ambassadors, the 45,000 spectators were wowed by a supporting program featuring Cro, Marlon Roudette and autograph sessions.
